Lawyer George Wajackoyah Offers Tunza Alliance to Defeat Jubilee and CORD

A lawyer who represented Lingala maestro Koffi Olomide during the July 2016 incident where he was arrested for assaulting a woman in Nairobi has announced a political alliance with 2013 presidential candidate Mohammed Abduba Dida.

Law scholar Prof. George Wajackoyah, who is the leader of the Roots Party of Kenya, revealed that they were preparing their alliance, dubbed Tunza, to ensure they defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party and the CORD coalition in 2017.

"Very soon, Dida and I will be unveiling Tunza Alliance. We will offer the best alternative leadership for this country," the lawyer revealed during a political rally held in Mumias.

Incidentally, Wajackoyah made the revelation while addressing a rally that had been organised by Jubilee supporters.

"Roots Party is the first party to have a leader from Mumias. That is why I am urging you to join the party. I am not in Jubilee, neither are we associated with Jubilee," he clarified.

Prof. Wajackoyah, a lawyer-cum-politician has an impressive life history, rising from a street boy to a be a police inspector, and later a law professor who has taught in Britain and in the United States.

The alliance is expected to give Dida a major political boost as he prepares for a second jab at the Presidency.

In 2013, the teacher-turned-politician finished fifth with 52,848 votes behind President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Peter Kenneth.

Dida surprised many after it emerged he garnered more votes than Martha Karua of Narc-Kenya.
