Mike Sonko Storms Peter Kenneth's Football Event in Dagoretti North, Guns Shots Fired

The fierce rivalry between Senator Mike Sonko and Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth went a notch higher on Sunday after the Senator stormed an event graced by the latter in Dagoretti North Constituency.

Kenneth was the main guest at a football event before the Senator unceremoniously stormed in accompanied by his supporters throwing the whole forum into a limbo.

In a video that has been widely shared, supporters of Sonko and Kenneth descended on each other as bodyguards of the two pulled out their guns to try and calm the situation.

After the fracas, Kenneth lashed out at Sonko stating that it was unfair to bring theatrics into a football match.

"I hope desperation will stop being the order of the day... It is unfair to have gun shots fired in a football match, very unfair,'' the former Gatanga MP stated.

On his part, the Nairobi Senator denied inciting the residents stating, "I was here as the County Senator, Dennis Waweru was here as the MP for this area, We have not incited anyone, in fact, it is them who incited their boys to pelt us with stones."

The infighting between the two aspirants, who are eyeing the Jubilee party ticket for Nairobi, is threatening to cause division in the party.
