The incident comes at a time when road accidents have been on the rise.

On Friday, four people died after a T.S.S Express Bus heading to Mombasa veered off the road and plunged into a valley in Mazeras near Mombasa.

The Mazeras incident came barely two days after a Nairobi-bound Modern Coast bus mysteriously burst into flames along Mombasa Road in Kyulu, Makueni County.  Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated.
