2 top commanders of Al Shabbab were killed alongside 28 others in a drone attack in Somalia.
The two- Jamaa Adhere and Ismail Jabhadi were killed when a US drone struck a strategic Al Shabaab location at around 2 am on Thursday morning.
Earlier today, social and mainstream media sites had been awash with news that the Mohamed Kuno widely known as Gamadheere who was behind the attack on Garissa
University College that left 148 people dead had been killed in the drone attack.
The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government has however clarified that that it is Jamaa Adhere who was killed and not Gamadheere.
The ministry's spokesperson Mwenda Njoka made the clarification via his twitter account.
So far, 51 Al Shabaab militia, including commanders who organized attacks in Mandera have been killed, according to a statement by KDF.
