Nairobi Gubernatorial Aspirant Esther Passaris Angrily Reacts to Tweet

Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Esther Passaris angrily reacted to a twitter comment on Thursday after her tweet was taken out of context by one of her followers.

The Adopt-A-light Company founder was enraged after she tweeted to enquire about Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi’s twitter handle but got a harsh response telling her that he is married.

Does anyone know Musalia Mudavadi's official tweeter handle?

@EstherPassaris you mean Twitter?

— Samuel Ceasir (@SimonNyakundiS) March 16, 2017

This sparked a reaction from Passaris who was seemingly annoyed by this tweet.

@frankdialesh You are pathetic. Grow up.

The user was, however, quick to apologise.

@EstherPassaris oh that was a bad joke.I take the blame

This tweet attracted many users who used the opportunity to express their views on various issues as far as politics is concerned.

Apart from the negative comments on the tweet, Passaris found solace from county residents who took the opportunity to declare their support for her, lauding projects she had undertaken to make Nairobi better.

@EstherPassaris Just a glimpse of the hardship women seeking leadership go through. Sad!! That's why so many fear. You're a strong woman Esther. Stand tall.

Passaris was recently in the news after another Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant, Miguna Miguna viciously attacked her during a debate on Jeff Koinange Live (JKL), questioning her integrity and source of funding. Miguna went ahead to call her a “flower” claiming she had nothing to offer the residents of Nairobi apart from her beauty.

Those remarks also caused a stir as Passaris took offence and accused Miguna of bad-mouthing her and tainting the image of ladies. This clash between Miguna and Passaris on Live television would later spark a public outrage that led to JKL show being pulled off-air as stakeholders in the media industry felt it had gone a little bit too far.

The show, which initially aired on KTN has since returned on-air on Citizen TV.
