NASA Principals Hold Meeting at Bomas of Kenya

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Thursday held a meeting with supporters at the Bomas of Kenya where they made several announcements.

First, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula announced that the leaders would officially announce the Opposition's presidential flag bearer on April, 27.

He stated that the Alliance would reveal the line-up that will face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 General Election at a rally set to be held at Uhuru Park.

"I want people to come in huge numbers on April, 27 at Uhuru Park because we will reveal our lineup that will lead us to the August 8 election" he stated

Secondly, the NASA principals announced that they had signed a contract that would ensure they remain together as a united front ahead of the election.

During the conference, ODM boss Raila Odinga added that the outfit had officially welcomed Chama cha Mashinani leader Isaac Rutto to join the alliance as the 5th co-principal.

He stated that the big tent that NASA set out to build was becoming a reality and that the nation's unity was within sight.

Mr Odinga further alluded that with the entry of Mr Rutto marks a new march towards the August 8, when the Opposition would "liberate Kenyans from the yoke of Jubilee".

"I am proud to welcome Ruto to the NASA Summit. With his entry, we launch a new march towards August 8 elections on which day we shall liberate Kenyans from the yoke of Jubilee," he noted.

"We will confront the reality of a nation too divided to stand for long. We will not lie that we have done all we can to rein in corruption when our associates, family members and friends are fueling it and reaping from it," he added.

Finally, the team further announced the formation of a NASA Pentagon, now that the number of principals had increased from four to five.
