A tanker driver was burnt to death after a ghastly road accident occurred at Manyani along Mombasa-Nairobi highway on Tuesday morning.
According to police officers in the area, the petrol tanker collided with two trucks then exploded violently before bursting into flames.
Coast Traffic Commandant Martin Kariuki, confirmed that the other two drivers and a loader escaped the scene with minor injuries.
Another accident occurred along Kisumu-Busia Road on Tuesday morning, after a matatu collided with a truck in Rang'ala area.
The matatu was said to have been overtaking when it collided with an oncoming truck, killing three passengers and the matatu driver.
The rest of the passengers were rushed to hospital for treatment.
