PHOTOS: Obama’s Historic Reception at State House

US President Barack Obama has been in a series of scheduled activities within  Kenya’s Capital-Nairobi.

After the official opening of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Gigiri alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta, Obama headed to the August 7th Memorial Park before heading to State House Nairobi, where he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Kenyatta.

At State House, Obama was given a stately welcome by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and First Lady Margret Kenyatta, among a host of delegates.

There was a 21 gun salute in honor of Obama before he and Kenyatta headed for a closed doors bilateral talks between the United States and Kenya.

The two presidents are expected to address over 400 local and international journalists gathered at the premises after the meeting- later today.
