Obama Pays Respects to August 7th Bomb Blast Victims

Visiting US President Barack Obama today visited August 7th Memorial Park in Nairobi, where he paid respects to the victims.

The US President laid a wreath of flowers at the site and had a moment of silence for the departed.

The symbolic gesture by Obama took place after he left the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Gigiri where he and President Uhuru Kenyatta had officially opened the summit.

The two presidents had also given their speeches at the summit, in praise of Africa’s heavy entrepreneurship potential.

They then left for Nairobi State House where they are expected to hold bilateral talks.

On route to the statehouse, Obama took a moment to visit the bomb blast memorial grounds.
