Police Reveal Girlfriends Juma Contacted Before His Death

Police have revealed that businessman Jacob Juma had been in contact with three women a few hours before his death on May 5.

In a statement released on Monday, Inspector General Joseph Boinnet indicated that Juma had sent money to them the previous and on the fateful day.

According to authorities, the deceased sent one of his girlfriends, who is a lawyer at a well-known city firm, Sh30,000 and was supposed to meet her later in the day.

However, Juma reportedly switched off his phone and decided to meet another lady in his house at Rose Apartments in Westlands.

The police further divulged that on the same day, Juma sent "another girlfriend who works with a well-known courier firm" Sh60,000 for buying a mobile phone.

Reports indicate that the businessman met the "courier firm lady" on the ill-fated Thursday evening and the two were spotted riding in a Mercedes Benz by cameras on Waiyaki Way.

In the Westlands house, Juma is said to have had a house help whom he sent Sh9,500 as part of her salary on Wednesday.

An investigative piece aired by KTN indicated that Juma used the house as an office where he met visitors for official purposes and also used it for personal purposes.
