Police officers on Tuesday morning camped outside the house of two CORD leaders in an attempt to arrest them for questioning at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The officers are said to have surrounded the house of Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama in Gigiri and Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire.
Security agents from the DCI reportedly arrived at Muthama's residence at 5am to arrest the legislator after he failed to honour summons issued by Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to appear at the DCI headquarters.
When contacted by Kenyans.co.ke, the Senator's office did not confirm or deny the reports but indicated that Muthama would address the press at a later time.
The police, however, did not immediately confirm the reports.
At the same time, police intercepted Suna East MP Junet Mohamed at Nation Centre along Kimathi Street in Nairobi. The legislator stated that he was holed up at the Nation Group offices where he had gone for a morning interview and was waiting for his lawyer to arrive.

Muthama and Bosire were among seven other leaders who were directed to record statements with the detectives following their remarks that were said to be laced with ethnic hatred.
On Monday evening, three Jubilee lawmakers were detained by the investigators after presenting themselves to record statements over utterances made during the weekend.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Kabete's Ferdinand Waititu and Kimani Ngunjiri of Bahati were held for hours after they were caught on camera uttering statements that were deemed inciteful.
