Two officers from the Recce Squad were arrested on Thursday after allegedly asking for a bribe in Mathare estate, Nairobi.
The two, Victor Mugambi Njoroge and Michael Epeyonon were arrested in a sting operation.
CID officers had set up the operation near the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters and apprehended the two as they went to collect the bribe.
It is alleged that they demanded a Sh300, 000 bribe from David Otieno Ochieng for alleged illegal connection of electricity.
The two were charged on Friday at a Milimani court alongside two other suspects.
They denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of Sh50,000.
The case will be heard on September 15.
