Suspected Police Officer's Body Discovered in Nyeri

A body of a 38-year-old man suspected to be of a police officer, was found on Tuesday at Rehema Farm in Game Rock estate, Nyeri County.

The farm Manager Philip Kihara, stated that one of the workers came across the body while he was herding the cattle and informed him.

“A pungent nauseating smell hit my nostrils a long while before I arrived at the scene. Judging by the state of the body including the absence of hair, it must have been here for more than a week,” said Mr Kihara.

Confirming the incident Nyeri OCPD Charles Rotich said the man could have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the farm, The Standard reports.

Documents recovered from the decomposing body include; a National Identity Card, several ATM cards, a slip from the police SACCO, a fuel card for a police vehicle.

In April this year, bodies of four men and a woman were also discovered in Nyeri.

The five bodies were found in Tagawa Forest, Kieni District.
