A 70-year-old man at Maili Saba slum in Nairobi, is now demanding the government to take away his wife failure to which 'someone will die'.
Francis Irungu Mwangi wants his wife, Agnes Njeri Muigai, kicked out of their matrimonial home, noting that she was the source of his misery and prolonged illness.
The estranged couple has reportedly been in dispute for the last eight years over a 30 by 60 feet piece of land said to be owned by Mr Mwangi.
Mr Irungu claims that he suffers from diabetes, hypertension, arthritis and high cholesterol, resulting from his stressful marriage to Njeri whom he met in 1990 after divorcing his first wife.
The elderly man accused his wife of ganging up with her daughters from a previous marriage, to kick him out of the land which he acquired while still working as a crane operator at a construction company.
Njeri admitted that they were no longer living with Mwangi, but insisted it was her husband who left their matrimonial home.
“Nobody chased him, he is the one who left. There was nothing I could do. I am a saved person. The truth will come to pass one day,” the Standard quotes Njeri.
The distressed man maintains that one of them will have to die for peace to prevail.
