The National Super Alliance NASA Coordinating Committee Co-Chairman Eseli Simiyu is in mourning following the death of his mother.
Simiyu who represents Ford Kenya in the Committee lost his mother, Rebbeca Nasiminyu Simiyu on Saturday morning.
Speaking to kenyans.co.ke, the Tongaren Member of Parliament (MP) confirmed the reports adding that Ms Simiyu died of natural causes.
"It's true. My mother died of natural causes. She was 90 years old," he affirmed.
A number of Kenyans took to twitter to convey their condolences to Dr Eseli's family.
Among them is Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale who wrote: "RIP Mama Rebecca Nasiminyu Simiyu, we celebrate your life."
On the other hand, Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa also sent his condolences stating: "Condolences to the family of Dr Eseli as we mourn the passing of their mother Mama Rebecca Simiyu. May she RIP."
