Two General Service Unit (GSU) officers who were allegedly captured by Pokot bandits near Laikipia Nature Conservancy have been found burnt to death at Ngelecha Valley in Baringo County.
The two were taken hostage during a raid by the bandits who had earlier ambushed Matweku Police post.
Two AP officers were shot as they tried to rescue their colleagues where one of them died and the other injured seriously.
Another police officer also died from injuries inflicted during another shootout with the Pokot bandits at Ol Maisor Ranch.
The attack comes weeks after the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers were deployed to Laikipia Nature Conservancy after Pokot bandits torched the Mukutan Retreat.
