Two Students Stabbed to Death by Jealous Lover

In what is suspected to be a jealous lover's fit, two ladies from Moi University in Eldoret West, Uasin Gishu county were stabbed to death.

The Sunday evening incident took place at one of the rented houses, near the campus gate.

One of the ladies is said to have been dating a man from a different campus before the tragic event.

The assailant allegedly got to know of a love affair between his girlfriend and another man and went over to her premises in anger, according to Citizen News.

He attacked her, stabbing her repeatedly with a knife.

The screams of the victim attracted a female colleague who came to the rescue of her friend, only to be attacked by the same knife.

The suspect tried to flee the scene but angry residents caught up with him, beating him senseless.

He was rescued by the police who had to fire into the air and throw teargas canisters at the mob who wanted to lynch him.

The assailant remains at Baharini Police Station as police launch investigations into the matter.
