Unscrupulous Car Dealer Arrested For Defrauding Bishop

Most people would shy away from the idea of conning a man of cloth. One bishop from Kerugoya would however find out the hard way, that for some, its all in a days work.

This follows the alleged defrauding of the bishop of over Ksh 1.5 million shillings by a businessman.

The 33-year-old car dealer- Danson Njoroge Muturi,  according to reports, received the amount from Bishop Joshua Kiongo Kimani of Kirinyaga Full Gospel Church for the purchase of a car.

The money exchange as the bishop claims took place on the 16th of April this year.

The agreement was that Muturi would buy a car and deliver it to the bishop.

The bishop waited for a while before realizing that his patience was not likely to bear fruits as there was high possibility that he had been conned.

He reported the matter to the police station and the suspect was arrested.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Kirinyaga County deputy commander Charles Ontita confirmed the incident and warned residents in the area to be wary of unknown dealers.

The suspect awaits to be charged in a court of law.
