Victor Wanyama, Sadio Mane and Other Key Signings on Transfer Deadline Day

Southampton midfielder, Victor Wanyama's hopes of leaving his club for Tottenham Hotspur by deadline day have been crushed.

Wanyama was left out of several key ties by his club including their Europa League defeat and their 3-0 victory over Norwich on Sunday, after Manager said he was not "mentally and physically good enough to play".

He is believed to have asked to leave Southampton in order to join his former Celtic Coach Maurico Pochettio at the North-London side.

But Koeman remained adamant not to lose anymore of his players this season after Manchester United signed Morgan Schneiderlin from the side.

In a press conference on Sunday, the Southampton Coach insisted that Wanyama and striker Sadio Mane, who was targeted by Manchester United, would not leave before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

"They will stay in Southampton, I'm 100 per cent sure about that...we don't sell that kind of player because they are key players for the team and they have to respect the contract. That's most important".

The 24-year old Kenyan skipper re-unite with Kenya's national team ahead of Zambia and Equatorial Guinea African Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile here are other key signings that involved various Premier League sides on the last day of the transfer window:
