Video: First A King, Now A President, Wildebeest Migration Attracts More Prominent Personalities

One of the world's most spectacular phenomenons, the Wildebeest migration, is currently ongoing and tourists are flocking the Mara to catch the wonder of the world.

Wildebeests in their millions making their annual migration through East Africa is attracting high profile guests.

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan arrived at the Maasai Mara Game reserve yesterday for a three day tour.

Jonathan was accompanied by his wife and children.

He was received by Narok Governor Samuel Tunai.

The King of Swaziland, Mswati III also checked into the lodge six days ago for the migration.

A Chinese prominent family is also reportedly staying at one of the hotels at the Mara.

One of the hotel owners told The Nation that they are expecting a royal family to check in, in the course of the week for the migration.

Hotels at the Mara have reported a surge in both domestic and international tourists who want to witness the migration.

The tourism ministry has been conducting an online campaign to get more people to choose the Mara as a tourist destination.

Kenyans on twitter have also been a campaigning to get international RnB singer, NeYo to visit the Mara.

The artist is expected in the country this week.
