VIDEO: KTN Presenter Saves Student From Death by Mob

KTN presenter Jamal Gadaffi on Monday night saved a Form Two student from a mob that was baying for his blood after a botched mugging incident.

In a video that was apparently recorded by Jamal, the mob is heard asking for fuel to lynch the student, who had allegedly snatched a handbag from a woman in Westlands, Nairobi.

Jamal intervened by asking the police to rescue the boy identified as Ronald, who was still in school uniform.

According to the victim, the boy also tried to rape her outside the gate of her house where the incident occurred.

The next door neighbour witnessed the whole commotion and raised an alarm attracting residents who roughed up the boy before resolving to set him a blaze.

Jamal revealed to Kenyans.co.ke on Tuesday that the incident happened at 8.30pm near his Westlands residence.

In the clip, the student, whose school could not be established, is heard begging for mercy admitting that he had learnt that crime was bad.

"Nimeona ubaya. Naomba mnisamehe tafadhali...(I have seen my fault. Please forgive me ," the student pleaded.

In his defense, the injured boy claimed he had not eaten for a week and efforts to borrow food from local residents were futile, hence, resolved to steal.
