As Kenya marked its 52nd Jamhuri Day celebrations on Saturday, a rare sight was captured at Nyayo Stadium when a military parade commander accidentally dropped his sword during the procession.
The unfortunate incident happened as the soldier was just about to ask President Uhuru Kenyatta for permission to allow him march the parade out of the field after their performance.
The scene surprised many as Kenya's Military is widely known for its utmost precision especially during parades conducted on national occasions.
The soldier, however, swiftly picked his sword and continued to make his request to the President, as if nothing had happenned.
Kenya's Military has in the past entertained distinguished foreign guests with remarkable prowess, including mounting parade for US President Barack Obama, Pope Francis among others.
