Woman Evicted for Supporting Raila

An ardent supporter of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is seeking the party's help after she was evicted from her rented house for supporting Raila Odinga.

Roselyne Akinyi, popularly known as Mama Orange due to her colourful orange dresses while attending political rallies, has resorted to seeking help from the party's leadership, which she claims to have supported for more than a decade.

Akinyi, who used to reside in Eastleigh area, Nairobi claimed that she lost her house following eviction by her land-lord, for supporting the former Prime Minister.

Last week, Akinyi recounted how she was called to the former Premier's office at Capitol Hill in Nairobi only to be given a token as fare.

“He gave me something small for fare - Sh10,000 - and sent me to Kidero... to get me a house and start a business for me," she was quoted by The Star.

Ms Akinyi alleged that since then, she has been trying to look for Governor Kidero to no avail as she is always sent away by security officers at the City Hall.

The old lady now wants well wishers to buy her oranges that would take her back to stability as she seeks help from the ODM leadership.
