A man in Baba Dogo Estate, Nairobi, shocked residents when he brutally killed his lover who also happened to be his mother-in-law following a domestic dispute in the home.
Mutinda Mwangi's eight-year-old daughter sounded the alarm after she saw her 'mother', who was actually her grandmother, lying in a pool of blood.
“The daughter came to inform me that her father needed me but I was hesitant to go because I knew his temper…on reaching the house I found the dead body,” said the brother to the deceased.
According to neighbours, Mr Mwangi and Rose Njendi had been fighting ever since they moved into the neighbourhood.
“They have been fighing consistently ever since they moved into this flat...we have stopped them from attacking each other several times,” said Gilbert Mwalumbo a resident in the area.
“I went to the scene and touched the woman to feel her heart beat but there was nothing. I told Mutinda she was dead but he said she was just pretending,” said Elijah Ndemwa, Baba Dogo Chairman.
Ms Njendi reportedly moved in with her daughter's family five years ago only to move out with the son-in-law after becoming lovers.
Residents urged Mr Mwangi's first wife to come back and pick her child.
