Five companies, including four in Nairobi and one in Siaya, are set to auction vehicles, including police vehicles, household items, chairs, and beer, among other items, within the next 30 days.

According to a gazette notice dated Friday, 25 July,  Inchcape Limited said that it will, within 30 days, dispose of two vehicles with government registration and five civilian-owned vehicles that remain uncollected at the company's premises along Lusaka Road in Nairobi, either through public auction or private treaty.

The Ikimwanya auctioneers said that they will, within 30 days, auction over 40 motorcycles, one Toyota sedan, 13 crates of beer, six crates of sodas (Empty), and mountain bicycles, which are currently lying at the Siaya Police station.

The motorcycle brands include Boxer, TVS, Tornado, Focin, Captain, and Honda.

On the other hand, the Muoroto-Thuita Investment has said that it will auction 150 plastic chairs, which previously belonged to Bishop John Paul, that are lying at its premises in Pangani.

The Auto Weichai said that it will dispose of vehicles and construction items, which include Honda, Nissan, Mercedes, Subaru, and Land Cruiser, and also a concrete mixer, which remains uncollected at its premises.

The items will be auctioned or sold off through private treaty or auction within the next 14 days if the owner doesn't claim them.

"Failure to comply with the obligation to take delivery as stipulated above, Auto Weichai Center Limited, will sell the said scrap and salvage vehicles (without further reference to the owners) either by public auction or by private treaty," the company said.

Taylor Matthews Limited has said it will dispose of household and commercial items belonging to Siaya County, a company, and 10 other individuals, whose names have been displayed in the notice.

According to the company, the items, which are currently lying at the Emerald Business Park, Syokimau, will be sold by either public auction or private treaty if the owners fail to claim them within the next 30 days.

Lastly, the St Austin's Service Centre said that it will, within 30 days, dispose of two Mercedes-Benz cars, through auction, tender, or private treaty, that remain uncollected at its premises on James Gichuru Road in Nairobi.

"The owners will be required to correct the vehicles upon payment of the storage charges together with interest and cost of publication and any other incidental cost of publication, failure to which the said vehicle shall be disposed of under the disposal of uncollected goods act either by public auction, tender, or private treaty and the proceeds of the sale be defrayed against all," the notice read.
