Kenyan-born author Kenneth Binyavanga Wainaina on Thursday, as the World Aids Day was being celebrated, took time to reveal that he was HIV positive.
The prolific author, who is currently in Germany, has never been far from controversy and in 2014 he shocked the world again after revealing he was a gay.
