Leaders From Ukambani Accuse Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama of Not Backing Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka For Presidency

Leaders from Ukambani have warned Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama that he will be to blame if Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka fails to become the National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer.

Speaking at a rally in Machakos County, Yatta Member of Parliament Francis Mwangangi accused the controversial Senator of siding with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members to push for party leader Raila Odinga’s candidature.

“Incase Kalonzo is not the presidential candidate we will blame Muthama. As a community, we believe that Kalonzo is the best presidential candidate for NASA,” said Mwangangi.

He also accused Muthama of not pushing for the interests of the Kamba community in NASA’s search for a Presidential candidate.

Mwangangi stated that he was not advocating for their break up but was just voicing his concerns about what Muthama was doing in an effort to betray the Kamba community.

“Muthama’s eyes are just on Raila. He may have personal scores with Kalonzo but he was chosen to that position to negotiate for the Wiper Party and the Kamba community as a whole. If Kalonzo misses it we will squarely put it on him,” asserted Mwangangi.

NASA leaders are on a three-day retreat at the coast to discuss on who will become the flag-bearer come the August elections.
