The flamboyant campaigns mounted by Kirinyaga County governorship aspirant Anne Waiguru and her woman representative counterpart Purity Wangui Ngirici left many Kenyans talking.
The campaigns were characterised by choppers, top of the range vehicles and money.
Details have emerged that Wangui's husband, Andrew Peter Ngirici who also doubles up as her campaign manager is the man behind what the public has seen so far.

Peter Ngirici dropped out of school at Class Four for unknown reasons. He then began washing cars and was at one time a casual labourer operating a donkey cart.
He may not have excelled in education but he has achieved great success in business.
His big break came when former Kenya Intelligence chief James Kanyotu took him in, mentoring him in business. He started with a transport business that soon flourished to include real estate, property and mining.
The businessman built a close relationship with Kanyotu that lasted until his death with some alleging that Kanyotu may have been Peter Ngirici's father. A neighbour who is familiar with him dismissed these claims.
From the proceeds of his business empire, he has bankrolled the campaigns that run into millions.
His wife, on the other hand, coordinated Anne Waiguru's campaigns that saw the incumbent Kirinyaga governor Joseph Ndathi lose the Jubilee ticket.
