Bomas of Kenya Cordoned Off as Crime Scene Over Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery's Death

The Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi has been cordoned off as a crime scene following the death of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery.

Reports indicate that Bomas, a tourist destination that displays traditional villages belonging to the several Kenyan tribes, is one of the places Nkaissery visited last night hours before he passed on at the Karen Hospital.

Earlier on, Scene of Crime detectives visited at Nkaissery's home at Karen Hardy in Nairobi where investigations into his death were launched.

The first team of officers is said to have arrived at the CS's home in the morning and was joined by a different unit at around 3.00 pm.

The detectives were piecing together last moments of Nkaissery before his sudden demise.

An entrance to the house was marked out of bounds and journalists were kept out of the premises with only a few leaders being let it.

The gate to his compound also remained shut with limited access to police officers and close family members.

Friends who had arrived to console the family were also kept waiting outside the premises pending police investigations.
