Uasin Gishu Senatorial Aspirant Margaret Kamar Reveals She is Biwott's Wife

Uasin Gishu Senatorial aspirant Margaret Kamar has revealed that she was the late Nicholas Biwott's wife.

The Jubilee Party politician made the confession during Mr Biwott’s requiem Mass in Toot Village in Elgeyo-Marakwet County on Wednesday.

"I think we have put this to rest.

“You've known nothing but the whole truth,” she stated.

Kamar was seen holding hands with her co-wives Hannie Biwott and Kavista Lessie after they had introduced their children.

Interestingly, Prof Kamar had named Mr Biwott as her husband on her CV and online pages though she had never been seen in public with the Total Man.

She was also among the congregants during Biwott's requiem Mass at AIC Milimani on Tuesday but there was no mention of her.

Ms Kamar is a dignified scholar and served in various capacities at Moi University before she was appointed the Assistant Minister Environment and Mineral Resources from 2010 to 2011.

She later worked as the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology from 2011 to 2013.

The soft-spoken politician garnered 65,931 votes during Jubilee's primaries, managing to beat a total of 13 men, and is considered a serious contender for the Uasin Gisu senatorial seat.
