Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has offered an award KBC journalist, Victor Muyakane, who saved a disabled boy who was unable to move when bees attacked protesters and police who had camped outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Through his Facebook account, Mr Mutua promised to reward the brave journalist a sum of Sh10,000 for his heroic act.
On Wednesday, as the apex court delivered their full judgement on the nullified election, police, protestors and journalists were forced to flee after they were attacked by a swarm of bees.
However, the brave journalist, who is a news anchor at government broadcaster KBC, risked being stung by the bees as other people fled the scene.
The disabled boy, who has suffered injuries from the bees attack, was evacuated and taken to hospital by the St Johns Ambulance attendants.
Meanwhile, travel and tour company Bonfire Adventures has also lauded the journalist for his courageous act.
National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) also praised the journalist.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino confessed he had brought the bees at the Supreme Court.

Unperturbed by his act, Owino even threated he would bring more bees.
