Sarova Stanley Hotel Managing Director Jaideep Vohra is dead.
Mr Vohra was killed on Friday in a road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway near Emali town in Makueni County.
Initial reports indicate that the accident occurred when the Sarova MD was following the cars in the East African Safari Classic Rally.
Mr Vohra was the the director of the East Africa Safari Classic Rally (EASCR).
When contacted by Kenyans.co.ke, Staff at the Sarova Stanely confirmed the incident adding that they were not at liberty to divulge more details.
Additional information as reported by the Daily Nation revealed that Mr Vohra succumbed to injuries he suffered after his vehicle rolled around the Amboseli Lodge.

In a press release seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the organizers of the EACSR declared that the event would continue of Mr Vohra.
"With deep regret we announce the passing of Jaideep Singh Vohra in a road accident today.
"We believe that he would want the East African Safari Classic Rally to continue as we organizers believe the event should continue in his memory. Our condolence go to his family and friends," read the release.
Also involved in the accident was Raju Kishnani, another Director of the Classic Rally.
Mr Kishnani sustained injuries and was flown by helicopter to Nairobi Hospital for treatment
Earlier on Wednesday, Mr Vohra was hosted by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho in the County offices ahead of flagging off the rally.
"My gratitude goes out to the directors of East African Safari Classic Rally Mr. Jaideep Vohra & Mr. Raju Krishnani and all the organisers and sponsors for choosing Mombasa as the premier destination for sports tourism.
"Flagging off the 2017 Kenya Airways East African Safari Classic Rally, the premier Motorsport event in Sub-Sahara Africa. May the best rally crew win." the Governor tweeted.

The EACSR website describes Mr Vohra as "a highly active Chairman of the Hotel Keepers Association, JS is also a keen sportsman and has special affections for rallying."
