Citizen Television has been switched off on major platforms Multichoice (DSTV and GoTV) and all free-to-air platforms.
The move came a day after Kenya Editors Guild Chairman Linus Kaikai alleged that after editors were summoned to State House, media houses were threatened that their licences would be revoked if they covered National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in at Uhuru Park.
The station had been transmitting live coverage of NASA supporters at Uhuru Park and other locations since the morning.
Moments later, NTV was also switched off on free-to-air platforms.
The Communications Authority (CA) reportedly shut down transmission from their Limuru base.
New reports indicate that Citizen Radio has also been shut down.

A statement from Royal Media Services (RMS) Managing Director Wachira Waruru confirmed the move, noting that the CA had shut down Inooro TV as well.
"We would like to confirm that this morning the CA disconnectd Citizen and Inooro TV transmission.
"There has been no official communication as to why this action was taken and we are actively engaging the revelant authorities," the statement read in part.
NTV reporter Ken Mijungu, in an interview with KTN News on Tuesday, revealed details of how the stations were taken off the air.
He stated that according to the information they had, a group of 10 people in a Land Cruiser made their way to the CA transmission base and proceeded to switch off the stations.

KTN News has also gone off-air on Signet and Bamba platforms.
The channels are, however, still available on online streaming platforms
