Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi Accuses Musalia Mudavadi's Secretary of Causing Division in ANC

Nominated Member of the National Assembly, Godfrey Osotsi on Friday revealed the person he claims is behind the woes that have recently been seen in Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress.

Speaking to the Star, Osotsi divulged: "I’m aware they were hired by the self-styled personal secretary to Mudavadi, Kibisu Kabatesi."

The lawmaker accused Kabatesi of being used as a 'hireling' to fight members of the party.

However, commenting on the issue, Mr Kabatesi stated that he had nothing to do with members expressing outrage against Osotsi.

On Monday, a group of ANC officials from Western and Rift Valley regions urged Mudavadi to hasten taking a disciplinary action against the nominated MP and Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.

The officials announced their plan to hold demonstrations meant to push their leader to take action against the two.

According to the officials led by activist Billion Ebole, the two should be expelled for disrespecting Mudavadi and be thrown out of the party.

"Osotsi is in Parliament courtesy of Mudavadi so it’s surprising that he has turned around to bite the hand that fed him,” Ebole stated.

He announced that the protests would be carried out in Kakamega.

Mr Osotsi was also accused of mismanaging party funds when he was the Secretary-General.

"Osotsi should tell us how Sh60 Million disappeared [during his tenure]. He has run away to gang up with our rivals (Jubilee) to avoid being questioned on how the money was misused," noted Harun Nyongesa, another official.
