Six people were killed and several others sustained injuries on Saturday in a road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
Reports indicate that the accident involved a 14-seater Matatu and lorry at the Kinango junction.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the lorry, which was headed to Mombasa from Nairobi, attempted to overtake and hit the Wundanyi-bound matatu.
A 4-year-old child is among those who lost their lives.
Earlier this week, a rogue lorry driver trying to flee from police caused a dramatic scene along Limuru Road that led to multiple accidents involving five vehicles and two pedestrians.

The driver who was caught ferrying charcoal forced police to pursue him from Nairobi to Ruaka as he attempted to escape.
Police stated that the lorry was en route from Nairobi to Kiambu when they attempted to flag him down.
Kiambaa police Boss Wilberforce Sicharahani added that among the accidents the lorry driver was responsible for was a head-on-collision with a saloon car which was heading to Nairobi from Limuru.
He added that the driver managed to escape on foot but they had tracked down the owner of lorry who would assist in locating the driver.
“Fortunately nobody died but five motorists reported their vehicles were destroyed by the lorry driver, who is still at large,” he explained.
