One of the affected girls is said to have undergone tests at the Nairobi Women's hospital which confirmed she was raped.

In September 2017, ten girls lost their lives in an unfortunate fire breakout incident which was said to had been planned by their fellow students with some said to have had longstanding indiscipline cases.

There was an uproar across the country with parents demanding why the school administration did not notify them of the 2 am tragedy leaving them to know about it from the media.

The dawn inferno gutted down a dormitory in which 350 Form One girls were sleeping with parents angered by the fact that the school had not put in place any fire safety measures.
