Citizen TV News Anchor Anne Mumbi Warui Joins Presidential Team

Royal Media Services has suffered a huge blow after business reporter and anchor resigned to join the Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU).

Journalist Anne Mumbi Warui has quit from Citizen TV to join former colleague Kanze Dena at State House.

She becomes the second journalist to join the department headed by Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita, after NTV business anchor Laban Cliff Onserio.

Wambui was one of the most promising talents at Citizen TV, with an eye for details, and exclusive stories to her name.

She started her career at K24 where she rose to prominence after conducting several prime interviews including President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto.

PDU is a central part of Uhuru’s Big Four Agenda.

The department was established in 2015 to improve the coordination of National Government flagship programmes.

It is also tasked with monitoring, evaluating and reporting on and the timely fulfillment of Uhuru’s key development priorities.

PDU hiring of journalist matches the efforts of Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU), now headed by former Citizen TV anchor Kanze Dena.

Kanze was appointed the head of the PSCU after her predecessor Manoah Esipisu was nominated for an ambassadorial position.
