DCI Takes Swift Action Over Video of Brutalised Boy [VIDEO]

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is appealing for help from the public to help locate a boy who was assaulted and his videos posted on Facebook.

On Monday, the DCI shared a video of the boy who was bleeding heavily from a head injury and his entire face looked swollen.

Speaking in Kikuyu, the boy identified as Ismael Karuru Wareru narrated how he was assaulted at night and forced to flee for his life and ended up sleeping in a forest before asking a neighbour to let him in.

In a longer version of the video posted on Sunday, the boy narrates how it all stated giving names of those responsible for the brutal attack.

"The DCI is appealing for information on the whereabouts of this poor, brutalized boy for us to act with speed. We are extremely concerned about the safety of the boy. Please feel free to share with us any information that may help us on the matter," the tweet read.

The incident is said to have happened at Kibutio village, Gikondi in Mukurweini Constituency, Nyeri County.

Gichinga Muita, one of the good samaritans, stated that the boy was kicked out of home by his step parents and had been destitute for close to five years.

Muita, who spoke to the press, maintained that the child did not have a home, was kicked out of his parent's house and he depended on neighbours for food and clothing.

Speaking on the serious wounds on the boy's head, Muita claimed that the child was assaulted by a group of boys who ambushed him in his hideout.

"He was beaten up by some youth whom he knows even by name and a good samaritan rushed him to the hospital," he stated.

However, the boy claimed that he had previously been badly assaulted by his stepmother but on the fateful, he was brutalised by another individual well known to him.

Hellen Wangui, one of the people who rushed him to the hospital and then to the police station for help, pleaded that the boy is not handed back to his foster parents.
