Kathy Kiuna Explains Her Lavish Lifestyle on CNN

Reverend Kathy Kiuna of Jubilee Christian Church addressed critics who claim that she lives a very lavish lifestyle.

She was speaking in an interview with CNN journalist Richard Quest when she stated that she was not bothered about what her haters had to say.

When Quest posed the question to her, she defended herself by explaining that God had called her to love life and live it well.

When you hear the criticism with you and hear the criticism of your husband, you've seen criticism about your personal lives, what hurts you,” asked Quest.

It really doesn't hurt, because if you don't know me you're gonna say things, you can be well off but that doesn't mean you're not humble.

I think I am a very humble human being, but I believe that God has called us to live life and live well,” She added.

She also stated that she expects her church to grow to 100,000 members from the current membership of 10,000 with 22 branches across the country.

The journalist’s visit to the church sent social media abuzz with people questioning how the news anchor was given a platform to speak despite his sexual orientation.

The JCC Parklands church put up an announcement that Quest, who had been in the country telling the Kenyan business story, would interview Kathy Kiuna "on her women ministry 'Daughters of Zion' after the Sunday service."

Churches in Kenya have openly condemned same-sex relationships, but the Kiunas' decision to host Quest, who has publicly declared that he is gay, left many wondering why the Church was trading on what man viewed as double standards.
