How Intelligence Imposter Walked Into DCI's Trap

An ex-military man imposing as a spy got himself arrested by the DCI on January 19, 2019.

Hassan Ali Wario was arrested by the DCI after he walked into Kiunga Police Station, claiming to be a Defence Military Intelligence Officer posted to Kiunga Masura Navy Camp.

On further interrogation, the DCI discovered that he was a fraud, prompting them to do further investigations on Wario.

They discovered that Wario was once a military man working with the KDF.

However, reports indicated that he had resigned from his post in January 2018.

Amongst his Possession, the sleuths discovered a fake copy of a laminated KDF card.

It is still unclear as to what Wario’s intentions were when he walked into the police station.

The sleuths locked him up in the station where he will stay till he is arraigned in court on Monday, January 21, 2019.

The arrest comes at a time where police arrested three foreigners and a Kenyan in Parkside Villa Hotel in Kitui.

Police believe that they are connected to the Riverside Drive attack that left 21 dead.
