Susan Wong Reveals Next Move After Leaving Capital FM

Susan Lucky Wong, as most of her fans know her, earlier announced to her social media fans that she was calling it quits at Capital FM as a lifestyle editor and leaving the country.

In an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Wong disclosed that she was leaving the country to fly back home to Toronto, Canada to spend time with family and to travel more.

She revealed that the move was something she had thought about for quite some time, citing priority changes.

“I have been away from home for 11 years, eight of which I spent in Kenya,” she noted.

On whether she was calling it quits with her media career, the presenter revealed that she would take an exclusive break for six months with family then join an international media house, details of which she will reveal later.

She expressed her gratitude to her Kenyan family, including her fans and especially the Kenyan media fraternity, for receiving her well, despite being an outsider.

The food and lifestyle blogger also revealed that in two months, she would be releasing a cookbook as a gratitude gift to her Kenyan family.

The book, she disclosed was inspired by her stay in Lonno Lodge, Watamu and would be a collection of photographs and recipes of coastal dishes.

She also added that the book would be available in Amazon and hoped that Kenyans would receive it well and purchase it.

On the shows she used to host at Capital FM, Wong stated that the station would revamp the two shows, Our 2 Cents, and Capital Lifestyle to include new vibrant hosts.

“I will definitely be back very soon,” she replied when asked if she would be coming back to Kenya.
