Exposed: Billionaire Punjani Bankrolled 2 Presidential Aspirants

It is now being cemented that the most wanted billionaire, Ali Punjani, has a solid and deep connection with some of the most influential individuals in the country to the tune of dozens.

K24 TV reported that, based on paper trail recovered during a raid at the tycoon's house, he bankrolled campaigns of some 2 presidential aspirants.

Without mentioning when the funding took place, the media house further disclosed that Punjani had released hundreds of millions in finances to 10 governors, numerous MPs and MCAs.

It was established that in return, the tycoon received preferential treatment from his influential clients.

All that surfaced after the detectives, who raided his house, found a variety of documents including title deeds and payment vouchers stored inside his private rooms.

“The man is well connected. It took us a short while after we entered his house to realise he could be 100 years ahead in terms of planning; he has thousands of sketches of his plans,” the media house quoted an officer, who participated in the raid.

Rumours had, in the past, also spread about Punjani's generous donations to Mombasa's security department.

From the raid, the sleuths are confident that they obtained useful clues to unmask how the reclusive billionaire amassed his wealth.

They entered a private room that only Punjani himself had access to.

“There were Nepalese and Indians inside that house. We obtained their travel documents and communication gadgets and established that they have been to other African countries before coming to Kenya. We have been piecing together information to establish the kind of businesses they are in and their link with the suspect.

“When I tell you this man is miles ahead I mean it. He was monitoring the entire search from wherever he is. He remotely controls the cameras,” dished the officer.

Punjani is wanted over his connection to the burgeoned drug industry in the coastal town of Mombasa.
