Citizen TV Anchor Bags Prestigious Award

Citizen TV news anchor, Hassan Mugambi, was on Wednesday, September 25, awarded by the Protective and Safety Association of Kenya (Prosak).

Mugambi was feted as the Outstanding Media Security Investigative Journalist of the year as KTN's Brian Obuya came in second.

Taking to his social media pages, Mugambi expressed his excitement using a single word 'Alhamdulillah' which means praise be to God as his followers congratulated him for the well-deserved award.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mugambi stated that he clinched the second position in 2017, adding that in 2018, he was never shortlisted.

"I thank God for it. The award is dedicated to all my sources who have kept me up to the minute in security update, given that PROSAK did a media monitoring to conclude that I covered the security front best this year," he expressed.

The association deals with media monitoring, awards consistent security, crime and investigative reporters.

On Friday, September 13, another Citizen TV journalist, Stephen Letoo scooped the Maa Male Media personality of the year.

He trounced five other nominees at the award ceremony held at Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi.

“Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday,” he stated.
