Babu Owino Ruthlessly Attack Didmus Barasa in Parliament

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, on Wednesday, November 13 tore into his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa during a parliamentary session.

The vocal legislator revealed his pleasure on learning that the Jubilee-allied MP was currently in some discomfort after he fell victim to the sporadic violent eruptions witnessed during the November 7 Kibra by-elections.

During the polls, Barasa found himself in trouble with a group of youths in Kibra who roughed him up before his narrow escape.

‘’Please don’t kill me… please don’t kill me,’’ he cried out while fleeing on foot.

On his part, Babu stated that Barasa got exactly what he deserved for meddling in affairs that did not concern him.

"In life, you get what you bargained for, not what you deserve. Therefore honourable Didmus Barasa got what he bargained for," the Embakasi East MP stated during his address at the national assembly.

He went on to mock his fellow legislator over an alleged dismal development track record in his constituency.

"To me, what happened to him is very good. His constituency is in Western. He left his people without water, without roads, without bursaries, without proper schools and desks to come and interfere in somebody else's constituency," he remarked.

On November 12, a group of Jubilee Party legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto claimed that Barasa had been flown to a hospital in South Africa for further treatment.

However, their narrative was put into question after photos emerged showing the Kimilili MP on official house duty.

Led by vocal Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah, the lawmakers had claimed that their colleague had been poisoned by ODM affiliated goons in Kibra.
