Rachel Ruto, on Saturday, December 21, sent a heartfelt message to her husband, Deputy President William Ruto during his birthday that doubled up as to their marriage anniversary.
Taking to social media, Rachel stated that the DP had been her rock and showed her so much love and support.
She further quoted a Bible verse wishing her husband a happy life full of success, for always being there for her.
"Happy birthday Bill. My best friend and confidant. This day is special as we celebrate your birthday and our wedding anniversary. Thus far we have come, all I can say is thank you.
"Nothing I can do can repay the amount of love and support you have shown," Rachel stated.
"My prayer for you as we go forward is Numbers 6:24-26. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace," she added.
The DP, who was born in 1966, turned 53 years old on Saturday December 21, 2019. The two have been married for 29 years.
Not only has Ruto lived to see his 53rd year and 29th marriage anniversary, he will also lay the foundation stone for the William Ruto Leadership Institute at Makerere University in Uganda on his birthday.
Other Kenyans joined her in celebrating her husband, noting that Ruto had displayed exemplary leadership skills and wished him a long life.
"Happy birthday to him. He has been a good example of what exemplary leadership entails," shared a Facebook user.
"Blessed birthday His Excellency Ruto. May God greatly increase you and comfort you on every side. May He give you the desires of your heart," added Esther Mwangi.
