Principal Commits Suicide in School

The body of a school headteacher was discovered in his house on Sunday, January 26.

According to Citizen Digital, the Mba Secondary School headteacher in Makueni is believed to have taken his own life by ingesting poison.

First responders quickly rushed the lifeless body to Makueni Referral Hospital, but it proved to be too late, and his body was consequently transferred to the morgue.

The school's board chairman, Jamaries Mutisya, confirmed that they had indeed lost the principal, going on to announce that the institution would issue a formal statement on the same later on during the day.

Mbaitu FM claimed that the late school head had taken poison in his house within the school premises for unknown reasons.

In a similar incident, Elisha Misiko, a pastor at the Ground for God's Gospel Ministries left his congregation in shock after he repeatedly stabbed his wife at the pulpit before ending his own life while a church service was underway on January 5.

The pastor left a 17-page suicide note, narrating why he killed his wife.

According to a report by Citizen TV's Raquel Muigai, the deceased is said to have titled the note 'Betrayal and its consequences'.

He alleged that his wife, Anne Maghanga, had taken away property that he had accumulated for 19 years, adding that he had taken away his land, church instruments, and equipment.

Further, he claimed that his wife had accused him of sleeping with her sister and had previously stated that he always had a knife in their bed.
