The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has informed that a section of Bogani Road, off Lang'ata South Road in Karen, will be closed for one month.

In a statement released on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, KURA announced that starting Wednesday, March 25, 2020, to Saturday, April 25, 2020, both dates included, the road would be closed to allow for repairs.

"During the repair period, motorists are advised to use provided routes as directed by traffic marshals on site," the statement read in part, noting the traffic interruptions that will result from the closure.

KURA asked for co-operation from motorists during the closure to ensure that the repair activities take place as planned.

"We apologise for the inconvenience that may be caused as we endeavour to provide an efficient urban road network," the statement adds.

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has been conducting infrastructural repairs along major roads not only in Nairobi but also across the country.

On March 11, the agency announced it had closed the Kingara-Ngong Road junction as from March 16, to Saturday, March 28, 2020, to facilitate the improvement of Ngong Road Phase II.

On March 5, 2020, KURA closed a busy section of the dual carriageway on the Southern Bypass at Lang'ata National Housing Corporation (NHC) Flyover for two days.

The closure was activated in order to facilitate the removal of formwork below the bridge deck and the installation of the PVC drainage downpipes on the ongoing Langata-Ngong Road Link.
