Laikipia Woman Representative on Tuesday, June 9, visited ODM leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office.

In photos posted on Raila's social media pages, Warurguru, who is a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, was seen in the company of Raila and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.

"We held a discussion on critical national issues including constitutional reforms and national unity," Raila stated.

"We are engaged in a historic effort to leave no one behind. Glad to welcome the Hon. Cate Waruguru," Junet wrote on his social media pages.

Wauruguru has been a fierce critic of the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader.

Political analyst Herman Manyora told Kenyans.co.ke that politicians were shifting their devotions to create new powerful allegiances.

"It is the reality of politics. When chips are down, when the dust settles, people go where the power is. There was a false impression that Uhuru was a lame-duck president so people were looking for alternatives.

"However, it has now been made clear that the president is still as powerful as ever. Hence, people are just moving where the power is," Manyora stated.

In recent weeks, a number of DP's supporters have changed their allegiance as the Jubilee Party purge continues.

On Monday, June 1, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika made a surprising political u-turn to support the president.

She stated that she was willing to work together with the president to ensure that the Big 4 agenda is achieved.

A long-time supporter of the DP, Nominated MP David ole Sankok welcomed the Jubilee Party's coalition agreement with the Kenya African National Union (KANU), unlike his Tanga Tanga counterparts who have vehemently protested the changes.

Sankok, on Tuesday, May 26, stated that he owed allegiance to the party and its leadership.

"Supporting somebody for the ambition of 2022 does not mean that we have suspended the Constitution of Kenya and the Constitution of our party," he stated.
