Former Tahidi High actor Dennis Mugo has resurfaced after being out of the public eye for a while.

He appeared on an episode of Abel Mutua’s YouTube show that was shared on August, 5, 2020.

Since exiting the popular Citizen TV show, Mugo pursued other interests before returning to the film industry and now helps run a talent academy in Embu County.

The actor has partnered with the county government to nurture hundreds of talented budding actors.

Former Tahidi High actress, Ashley Murugi is also key in the running of the talent academy.

Abel reunited with OJ to reminisce on their past escapades, some which put their lives in danger.

The YouTuber thanked Mugo for charting the way for him, explaining that his career trajectory followed OJ's.

Both were students at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) but Mugo was ahead by some years.

When OJ, who was the school’s star actor graduated, Abel was chosen by his drama patron to fill Mugo’s shoes. He went on to win the best actor award at the National Drama Festivals.

Abel then followed his friend to Tahidi High after he was scouted by the show’s assistant producer during the drama festivals.

The two went on to become the most popular actors on the show alongside Joseph Kinuthia who was known as Omosh.

OJ left the show and delved into the advertising industry to work as a creative director for different advertisements. Some of the companies he has worked for include Take 2 Communications and Triple Edge Media.

Likewise, when Abel also left the popular show, he worked with production and advertising companies such as Protel Studios. One of Abel’s best works include the “Mawowowo” advert for Ilara Milk.

After working for different companies, he decided to partner with his fellow Tahidi High co-star Philip Karanja to establish their own production company which shoots shows and commercials as well.
