Residents in Suswa, Narok County, are reeling from shock following an incident where a man burnt to death after his car burst into flames on the morning of Wednesday, August 26.
The accident involved a Nissan Wingroad driven from Narok towards Mai Mahiu and a Toyota Premio, which was going in the oppoiste direction.
"It happened that, upon reaching at the location of the accident, the Toyota Wingroad was overtaking another motor vehicle without giving way to oncoming traffic thus colliding head on with the oncoming premio," police sources told Kenyans.co.ke.

With the head-on collision between the two vehicles, a fire erupted burning the driver of the Nissan Wingroad beyond recognition and he died on the spot.
Other passengers suffered serious injuries and have since been rushed to various hospitals around the area.
Efforts are underway to tow the vehicles to the police station.
Reports indicate that car fires are majorly caused by fuel leaks or short circuit of the battery, the battery terminal or electric wires of the vehicle with experts saying that clothes used during maintenance and are stained with fuel, can also cause a fire if accidentally left under the bonnet.
Further, experts warn that due to electric items in a car, drivers should check if the battery terminal is properly fixed on the battery.
They add that high-speed limits can increase the risk of fire in case of pre-existing faults because the car components heat up faster.
The incident rekindled memories of a man who burnt to death inside his car in Buru Buru Phase 5 estate in April 2020.
It was not yet clear whether there were incendiary devices within the car that resulted in the fire, as the entire interior of the car was burnt to a crisp.
